Horizon T73 Treadmill
Horizon has a well established reputation among fitness equipment producers, especially treadmills for home market. T73 is their best selling product for this niche. It’s list price is $1,299.99, but one can get it even for $999 when looks in online stores (about $300 cheaper).
Horizon T73 offers a range of features suitable for both people trying to loose weight and professional athletes wanting to keep their endurance. The speed offered to the user is 12 miles per hour maximum with possible speed increments of 0.5 mph, so one can start training even when it’s just a beginners jogging and then after few trainings increase the speed (and fat burned). This treadmill also includes six preset programs suitable for a large variety of training goals and one’s endurance. The list of programs includes rolling, interval, hills, weight loss and golf. Besides those preset programs there is a possibility to define up to two custom ones if neither of the six build-in are good enough.
The on board computer (called SmartBoard) has a LCD display which displays the current speed, the incline, heart rate, speed, distance, the length of the training and such, and of course it allows selecting the current training. T73 also includes a fan to cool the user while in training, it is a useful feature beacuse allows a longer training. The built-in heart rate sensors built into the handles provide a better control of the jogging, which is important especially for the interval and weight loss programs.
This Horizon product can be also easily stored, the deck can be lifted even to forty five degrees, in this folded shape it takes less space and can be moved to some kind of storage. The other included motor, which is the most important, that moves the treadmill is a special design with large magnets that are very ergonomic. This makes the T73 a very quiet machine which runs more efficiently than in cheaper designs.
Horizon T73 is build very well (that’s why manufacturer gives life-time warranty for the frame) and it doesn’t look like it will break any time soon. There is also a safety feature that stops the motor when user falls from the treadmill, and it stops it immediately, not after few seconds. As for the assembly is quite simple, user can set up the whole product in 40-60 minutes.
The machine is designed splendidly, it contains nice number of preset programs and has a fold able deck for easier storage. Not to mention the price of only $999, making it a product that one has to at least consider when looking for a treadmill for home use.
